The short version
bodymaths is built so that your health data stays with you:
- the calculators run in your browser and do not send what you type to us;
- the app keeps your plan, workouts and body data on your device;
- sync is optional, and progress photos are never synced;
- we do not show ads, and we never sell your data or share it with advertisers.
The calculators and this website
What you type into a calculator is worked out in your browser. Your answers are kept in this browser so the app can start with them if you open it; they are not sent to our servers.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It does not use cookies and does not follow you across other websites.
What the app keeps on your device
To build and adjust your plan, the app stores on your device: your profile (birth year, sex, height, goal, activity, and health details you choose to give, such as pregnancy or GLP-1 medicine), your plan and workouts, body weight and measurements, food, sleep and energy logs, weekly check-ins, and progress photos. This is health information, so we ask for your consent before you start.
Accounts and sync (optional)
You can use the app without an account. If you create one, with an email code or with Google, your email address and your app data (except photos) are stored with Supabase, our database provider, so you can use them on other devices. Only you can read your data, and the app stores it in the EU.
If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your email address, name and profile picture. We do not get your Google password or access to anything else in your Google account.
The AI coach (optional)
The coach is off until you turn it on. If you connect it to an AI provider with your own key (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or an address you enter), your question and a summary of your training (your plan, recent workouts, latest weight, goal and experience) go straight from your device to that provider, under its own privacy terms. Your name, email and photos are not sent. Your key stays on your device and is not synced.
Cookies
We set one cookie, bm_app, which only remembers that you have opened the app so the home address opens it for you. It holds no personal information. When you sign in, your session is kept in your browser storage. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else sees your data
Only the companies that run the service for us, each for that job alone: Cloudflare (hosting and visit counts), Supabase (accounts and sync), the email service that sends your sign-in code, and Google if you choose to sign in with it. We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We would only hand data over if the law required it.
Keeping and deleting your data
Data on your device stays until you delete it. In the app, Settings lets you export a backup file or delete everything on this device. Deleting your account in the app removes your account and synced data from our servers. If that does not work for you, email hello@bodymaths.com and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to how it is used. Email hello@bodymaths.com and we will answer within 30 days.
Age
The app is for adults 18 and over. If you tell the app you are under 18, it only offers the calculators.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and its date, and tell you in the app about important changes before they apply.
